Many thanks to Josie for not only delivering the training in such a comprehensive and professional way, but for making it so enjoyable. She is a great teacher, always prepared to adjust the pace of the lesson so that everyone feels engaged and relaxed in the knowledge that they will not be 'left behind' or feel frightened to ask a question if they do not follow something.
The staff were full of praise for Josie after their session on Tuesday, thank you for sending her to us.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for arranging and, to Josie for the training on above course. It was an action packed day and Josie was very engaging, approachable and great at explaining procedures and answering questions.
I particularly found being able to use the training defibrillators really helpful and it made me feel more confident in my ability to use one if necessary. Being one of only four attending, it gave more time to practice CPR and also for Josie to give us examples/scenarios that might happen in our different settings.
Many thanks for an excellent First Aid course yesterday. I thought it was one the best I’ve done, Josie presented the material in an interesting and engaging manner and the ‘real world’ examples were hugely helpful.
I would just like to tell you, I have had a lot of very good feed back from the course Josie gave on Tuesday.
We had a real and invaluable treat here in Oborne yesterday afternoon when Josie gave a large assembly of our villagers instruction on our newly installed Defibrillator and on CPR in general. She is a most gifted trainer and there can be no doubt that we all learnt a great deal from her. May we please express, through yourselves, our sincere thanks to her.
We all thought that Josie was a fantastic trainer. Some saying that it was the best first aid course they had attended.

Hi, I've just completed my paediatric first aid course with Josie at the Elim church in Yeovil. I just wanted to say, the course was one of the best I've been on, it was informative but non threatening, with hacks and anecdotes, making a very interesting day. I've done plenty of courses over my 35 years as a childminder, this will be my last, so well done!
Just some feed back from the course…Josie was excellent, I had staff saying they all learned something new and they all enjoyed the course, even the ones that have done courses before so a big thank you to her.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my first aid training. It was great to be able to do something local, for a reasonable fee and Josie was an excellent trainer.
I’d like to express my thoughts on receiving the blended first aid training from Josie. The course contents were very well presented- I was made to feel welcome and at ease.
I have attended many first aid courses throughout my years of being a childminder but I felt this particular course met my requirements greatly, and gave me an in-depth understanding and knowledge.
I felt the CPR was delivered brilliantly, and Josie was happy to accommodate my additional needs of adapting the practical tests. I particularly felt the benefit of taken part in the practical exercise of using a AED – I was politely corrected when forgetting to call for emergency assistance
I also found beneficial the role play of practising the Recovery position- I think because this isn’t an every day/week/month/yearly occurrence the hesitation kicks in.
I have a better understanding of heat exhaustion and heat stroke differences- temperature differences and the dangers of 40c which leads to organ failure if not treated with cooling the body down rapidly.
I learnt more towards Hypothermia with treating the child gradually and not over heating too quickly I found the e-blended course of questions and answers that was required before the course was presented, useful digesting the elements to enable my input into the course programme.
This is my last First Aid course as I will be retiring soon, I will carry the knowledge and understanding of how to use First Aid with me forever.

Just to say thank you for arranging the recent Paediatric First Aid Training with Josie. I found the training to be very informative and in-depth with some great training aids and examples of injuries. It was refreshing to have a different style of training from such an enthusiastic trainer.
The course was fantastic very informative special mention to Josie she really had us all engaged and learning.
