This course aims to ensure that each candidate acquires the knowledge and skills to be able to administer basic first aid. It is ideal for anyone who wishes to gain basic knowledge, confidence and practical experience in first aid techniques. Suitable for Appointed Persons.
Course Syllabus Overview
- The priorities of first aid
- Awareness of personal safety
- What to do in a First Aid emergency
- Causes of unconsciousness
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- Treatment of wounds, bleeding and shock
- Assessment and treatment of common injuries and medical conditions
- Use of a Defibrillator
On successful completion of the course the candidate will receive a certificate of attendance.
This is valid for three years.
I found the training to be very informative and in-depth with some great training aids and examples of injuries. It was refreshing to have a different style of training from such an enthusiastic trainer.
